Are the services confidential?

All health services are confidential although their policies may vary from organisation to organisation. You can ask to see a copy of their confidentialty policy and talk to the staff at the service being used. Only where you give permission, where it is in your best interests and in extreme circumstances will some services pass on information about you. For young people under the age of 16 this may differ and therefore you may want to ask someone at the service about this. See Local Services.
